$425,000 Settlement for Woman injured in a Head-On Collision and had three surgeries

Our client was seriously injured in a head-on collision in Prince William County when the defendant made a left-hand turn without yielding and struck her vehicle head-on with a Range Rover. Despite her attempt to swerve, our client could not avoid the crash.

She immediately sought treatment at Novant Health, reporting pain in her neck, back, right wrist, and both shoulders. Initial imaging revealed a possible wrist fracture, and she was placed in a thumb spica cast. Further diagnostic testing, including an MRI arthrogram, uncovered a partial tear of the rotator cuff, biceps tendinitis, and labral damage in her shoulder.

Over the course of her recovery, our client underwent three separate surgeries to address her injuries:

  • Wrist Surgery for de Quervain’s tenosynovitis
  • Major Shoulder Surgery in November 2023, including arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, biceps tendon release, labral debridement, subacromial decompression, and open biceps tenodesis
  • Carpal Tunnel Surgery on January 23, 2025, to relieve worsening symptoms in her right wrist

Despite the complexity and long duration of treatment, David Marks Law successfully represented her throughout the legal process. The case was resolved at mediation just one month before trial in Prince William County Circuit Court, achieving a favorable settlement that reflected the severity of her injuries and the extensive medical care required.

This case illustrates our firm’s dedication to securing full compensation for clients facing life-altering injuries and prolonged recovery. We fight for results—so our clients can focus on healing.
